Weather Update from Milton Keynes Council

All MK waste collections (clear and black sacks and green bins) are suspended today, Friday 2 March, because of snow and ice.

Collection crews went out this morning but have experienced significant difficulties getting to properties to collect waste. Our gritting teams have been operating around the clock but conditions have deteriorated and it’s now too unsafe to continue with waste collections.

Weather permitting; today’s (Friday 2 March) collection will take place on Monday 5 March. This means that next week’s collections will be one week day later than scheduled, however Friday 9 March’s waste will be collected on Saturday 10 March. Please put your waste out one day later than you would normally do next week. Thank you.

We’re sorry for having to do this, and hope you understand why we’re putting the safety of the waste collection teams first. We’ll be working to get collection services back to normal as quickly as possible.

CleanerBins will endeavour to clean your bins on the same day as emptying for this week only!
